Campaign Type: Integrated Public Service Campaign + Digital Experience Client: Los Angeles County Department of Public Health / OAECE Role: Creative Director + Art Director
Child Care Choices
30-Second Preschool-Age Child Care Video SpotFamilies across Los Angeles County may qualify for free or subsidized early care and education, but finding the right resources can be complicated. OAECE needed a campaign that could increase awareness, reach families in priority communities, and guide parents and guardians toward clear, actionable information.
Team Friday developed Child Care Choices as an integrated campaign and digital experience designed to make the process easier to understand. The visual identity used a bright, approachable system of shapes, typography, color, and illustration to make the subject feel welcoming and accessible. The campaign reached families through out-of-home, digital, social, radio, and multilingual materials.
Creative direction
extended from the initial messaging and scene-by-scene storyboards through production, post-production, and campaign rollout. The work included supporting cast selection and talent direction, overseeing the video edit, creating the commercial’s motion elements, and art directing the digital, social, print, and radio assets. I also developed the campaign’s visual identity, brand guide, and digital hub.
Child Care Choices LA Campaign HubThe website https://childcarechoiceslacounty.org/ became the campaign’s central resource, giving families a clear three-step path to explore child care settings, find nearby programs, and learn about payment assistance options. Supporting resources included bilingual videos, downloadable guides, FAQs, and a flyer translated into nine languages.
